Dominion Day Support is a community-based day support program for adults with intellectual disabilities or developmental disabilities. Services focus on creating supportive environments and experiences, using person-centered planning and positive behavioral support. The goal of the program is to enable individuals with disabilities to be fully participating members of the community. Learning opportunities and community experiences are designed to build self-confidence and increase independence. Dominion Day Support provides an environment that promotes the health and safety of individuals with disabilities, while also challenging participants to learn new life skills, expand academic skills and actively engage in community life.

Is Dominion Right for You?

Dominion Day Support is for people who want to learn new things, make new friends, and go new places. We are always trying something new!

To be eligible, you need to:

  • Be over age 18
  • Have a diagnosis of intellectual disability (mental retardation) or developmental disability, including autism
  • Be willing and able to participate in community activities
  • Be able to participate in activities provided in group settings
  • Be willing to take an active role in developing your individualized service plan
  • And want to learn daily living, social, communication, pre-vocational and academic skills.

Our person-centered approach to services allows participants to direct a plan of service that changes as their needs and aspirations change. Community integration occurs as a natural outcome of exploring social, volunteer, pre-vocational, leisure and recreational opportunities in the community.
